What Personal Data We Collect and Why

Membership Registration

When you become a PARSOL member, we collect your name, mailing address, email address, and phone number. This information is used solely to administer your membership, send you organizational communications, and fulfill the purposes described in this policy. We do not sell, rent, or share your membership data with unaffiliated third parties for marketing or commercial purposes.

SMS / Text Message Communications

Members who opt in to SMS communications provide their mobile phone number for the purpose of receiving text message updates from PARSOL, including advocacy news, legislative alerts, event reminders, and organizational announcements. Consent to receive SMS messages is obtained separately and explicitly at the time of membership registration via an unchecked opt-in checkbox. SMS opt-in consent is never required as a condition of membership.

Your mobile phone number and SMS consent status are never shared with third parties or used for any purpose other than sending you communications directly from PARSOL. No information collected through our SMS program is shared with affiliates, partners, or any other organization for marketing or promotional purposes.

You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message and no further texts will be sent. To re-subscribe, reply START. For help, reply HELP or contact us directly. Message and data rates may apply.

Donations

When you make a donation, we collect your name, address, email, and payment information. Payment processing is handled by a PCI-compliant third-party processor. PARSOL does not store full credit card numbers. Donor information is used solely for processing your gift, issuing tax receipts, and sending receipts or acknowledgments.

Information submitted through our contact forms or via email is used only to respond to your inquiry and is not added to mailing lists without your consent.
