PARSOL Conference 2024: Financial Aid

PFR & PFR Designate Financial Aid

PARSOL understands that our target audience includes individuals for whom which, the penal system has imposed severe and excessive financial strain. Therefore we have reserved a pool of funds for financial aid for individuals directly affected by the sex offense registry. We also understand that some individuals who are either incarcerated or under travel, proximity, or other supervisory restrictions may not be able to join us and may wish to send a representative. Family members rarely escape the impacts of the registry’s collateral consequences. A PFR or their designate may attend the conference for a subsidized rate of $15. Because we only have 15 of these available, only assistance voucher is available per PFR. That means if both a PFR and their family member wish to attend, there is only one discount available. Family members may also apply for a need-based scholarship.

Need-Based Financial Aid

Individuals with a limited income may apply for a need-based scholarship. In order to qualify for these, the applicant must receive governmental assistance in the form of: (1) Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), (2) Supplemental Security Income (SSI) – (this is not the same as Social Security benefits), (3) Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), or (4) Medicaid. Recipients of this aid are eligible for a subsidized rate of 50%.

Students

Student registered in a college or university program may register at a rate of $40.00. Any CEU credit fees cannot be discounted.
Students who must pay their registration fee out of pocket (not subsidized by their school) may pay $25 if they agree to volunteer.
