State Police post new guidelines concerning registrants

The Pennsylvania State Police have posted new guidelines concerning Pennsylvania Registrants. Below is the following criteria that will be followed. Please read over this carefully as the status of your county changes from red, to yellow, to green.

Verification Appearance
When an individual’s scheduled appearance date nears, correspondence with additional instructions and a paper verification form will be mailed to the individual. Use of the paper form will be guided by the following county status designations, as ordered by the Governor:

Individuals who reside in a county in a RED status with full COVID-19 restrictions should complete and return the form to the Pennsylvania State Police.

Individuals who reside in a county with a YELLOW or GREEN status with reduced COVID-19 restrictions should proceed to an approved registration site.

To avoid possible delays, it is recommended that individuals contact the registration site prior to arrival, to be sure the site has reopened and/or to confirm hours of operation.

Individuals who reside in another state, but are employed or attend school in Pennsylvania, should complete and return the form to the Pennsylvania State Police.

CHANGES/UPDATES BETWEEN SCHEDULED APPEARANCES:

In accordance with any order issued by the Governor concerning the status of a county, the following applies:

INDIVIDUALS RESIDING IN A YELLOW OR GREEN COUNTY WITH REDUCED COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS SHOULD APPEAR AT AN APPROVED REGISTRATION SITE TO CHANGE OR UPDATE INFORMATION BETWEEN SCHEDULED VERIFICATIONS.

To avoid possible delays, it is recommended that individuals contact the registration site prior to arrival to be sure the site has reopened and/or to confirm hours of operation.

Individuals in a county with a RED status with full COVID-19 restrictions and who require changes to information between scheduled verifications, should use the online update form below.

This online form is to be used ONLY between scheduled appearance dates for changes to previously reported information, and ONLY by those individuals residing in a county with a RED status. DO NOT use this form for scheduled verification purposes.

The online update form is a fillable form that can be completed online. Users must have either email or print capabilities. The update form can be submitted via email to the Pennsylvania State Police by clicking “Submit” after all applicable information has been entered on the form. The update form may also be printed and mailed to the Pennsylvania State Police, Megan’s Law Section, 1800 Elmerton Avenue, Harrisburg, PA 17110.

**NOTE—If an individual is unable to go to work due to the COVID-19 Stay at Home orders, but intends to return to the same employment when permitted, no employment update is required.**
